property titles with insurance policies across the United States. The New England division accounts
for 46% of the regional market for title insurance. This makes them the largest title insurer in the
Northeast. They operate with over 4,000 attorney/agents selling their products. Their services extend
into homeowner policies and lending services for banks.

Project Summary
|
|
|
ICAL was contracted by FATICO to prototype, design, and build the infrastructure components of
its image retrieval system. This is a center piece in a multi-year project that consolidates
over 10 million imaged documents that were stored in unconnected proprietary document management systems.
|
|
On a typical day the application services 1,500 requests for 200 different companies looking for title images.
These are culled from a database with over 20 million documents and a file vault that exceeds 100 million images.
ICAL continues to work with the FATICO MIS department to help manage, enhance and improve the services it provides to
its customer base.
This program is critical to the growth and expansion of FATICO in an increasingly competitive market.

The system shares a security model with the enterprise network, and offers access to the outside community via IIS 5.0 and a
combination of Visual Basic Webclass objects, and COM objects acting through Active Server Pages. Its success is
critical to the future of FATICO.
