First American Title Insurance is a division of First American Financial Corporation. They secure property titles with insurance policies across the United States and other select parts of the world.

Their services include home owner, commercial and lender policies for banks. They are one of the largest Title Insurers in the United States. A large portion of their business relies on Agent Attorneys using their services to close property transfers

As part of the property closing process, attorneys typically need to research the title, obtain closing insurance, and provide title insurance to secure the transfer of a property.

ICAL had previously spent over ten years helping to develop and maintain AgentNet, a regional Agent Attorney services web site within New England.

When First American decided to use AgentNet nationally, ICAL was retained to help move and further enhance the system functionality.

Over a period of 2 years, ICAL helped transition and enhance the site functionality. The three original main components of AgentNet included:

• Back Title Retrieval
• Closing Protection Letters
• Electronic Jacketing

The Back Title component was migrated to other corporate systems. The Ejacket and Closing Protection functions were enhanced to support additional agency business states. When completed, AgentNet serviced all First American Agency Business.
